Travel Planning on the Internet

I've been planning a trip to India and have spent a lot of time in cyberspace. It's amazing how some very small eco-farms in rural India have managed to get on the internet. Obviously being part of a larger network that can help spread the word is helpful, and some are mentioned on the state government's tourism website. Another way is to get bloggers or travelers to write in their personal comments and experiences. A few of these sites are listed below. Please feel free to send in more tips!

Today Rob and I celebrate our eighth anniversary (Bronze and Pottery for those interested in such things).

More on travel planning and the internet next time.

Happy Anniversery!
Since I'm constantly trying to keep up with what bloggers are saying about our group, I'd suggest you try technorati.com. It is a search engine of blogs and will easily identify other bloggers who are covering your topics - exactly the folks who you can exchange links with and drive more traffic to your site. Also, you can find out everyone who is linked to your site by googleing the work "link:" (with colon) plus your URL. (for instance, I type in "link:epinet.org" in the web search engine of google and find all the sites that link to EPI.) Soon you'll be the wonkette of travel bloggers!

Thanks for the tip. I'm already signed up thru technorati.com too. Sue Grieger posted that tip on my first day. I like how you can type in keywords.
